SEM CERRITELLI, Pianist, Conductor, AFAM Professor

Born in Brescia and son of scientific researcher Dr. Luigi Cerritelli, Sem Cerritelli was born in 1976 and is a pianist and conductor living in Milan. He studied Piano, Vocal Music, Composition and Conducting in Milan, Paris and Munich. In the dual capacity of pianist and concertmaster, he has performed in more than 15 countries alongside renowned artists such as alongside renowned singers including Daniela Dessi', Katia Ricciarelli, Giorgio Zancanaro, Mario Malagnini, Sonia Ganassi, Marina Rebeka, Carmela Remigio, Stefania Bonfadelli, Leonardo De Lisi, etc. He has recorded CDs (Sarx Records, Stradivarius) and DVDs for the Armellin Musica edition in Padua (as a supplement to the book "La Tecnica Vocale italiana" by Antonio Juvarra). He often participates as a collaborating teacher for important courses taught by Renata Scotto, Giovanna Canetti, Bruno De Simone, Vittorio Terranova, Tiziana Fabbricini, Alessandra Rossi, Daniela Barcellona, Barbara Frittoli, etc..

He founded in 2018 the "International Philharmonic Music Orchestra" of which he is also the permanent conductor. He is frequently invited in different Universities and Theaters: in Brazil in Curitiba and Florianopolis; in Belgium for the Bell'Arte Foundation; in China in Beijing, Nanning and Wuhan; in South Korea and Japan; in France in Paris.

He is a graduate of the "Management" Department of the "Accademia Teatro alla Scala"  in Milan. Since 2012, he has been president of the non-profit "Federazione Musicale Internazionale," founded in 2000. He has organized over 85 editions of international competitions including opera competitions ("Città di Brescia", "Città di Iseo", Capriolo in Franciacorta, Franco Ghitti - Tenor); lieder competitions ("Giuseppina Cobelli"); instrumental competitions ("Pia Tebaldini" and "Luigi Cerritelli").

He teaches courses in opera repertoire for opera singers, piano accompanists and opera conductors. As a teacher he has been able to follow the path of his students to the achievement of prizes in singing competitions including Belvedere in Vienna, Vinas in Barcelona, Neue Stimmen, Scala in Milan.
