The Federazione Musicale Internazionale Onlus (F.M.I. - ONLUS) is a non-profit association founded in 2000 and has as its statutory objectives the promotion of studies on musical culture including the period of the twentieth century Italian and international and the dissemination of musical knowledge through publications, opera concerts, instrumental concerts, master classes, opera competitions, instrumental competitions, opera auditions, cultural events and conferences. Moreover, the association intends to explore the themes of multiethnic research and the promotion of international cooperation. The International Music Federation prefers the promotion of valid budding artists and/or artists at the beginning of their careers selected from the opera and instrumental competitions it organizes. The seriousness shown by the F.M.I. in the programs of these years and the professionalism of its board of directors, demonstrate the validity of the project; this is recognized by several partners: Theaters, Foundations, Associations, Departments of Culture, Companies, Lombardy Region, Province of Brescia, Municipalities of Brescia and Mantua, private individuals, Music Conservatories.
Opera Competitions, Instrumental Competitions, Competitions for piano accompanists,
At the beginning, the Federation dealt mainly with the organization of the Lyrical Competition which in 2002 was named after the City of Brescia. Since 2002, the Federation, given the demand of musical organizers, has also dealt with the selection of suitable artists for the realization of its projects. With the passing of the years, in addition to the lyrical competitions, the organized competitions included several musical disciplines: for example the piano competition "Pia Tebaldini", the Liederistic competition "Giuseppina Cobelli" and the competition for collaborating masters "Ottorino Respighi". It has organized over 80 editions of opera competitions including: Capriolo in Franciacorta Lyrical Competition, Lyrical Competition Homage to F. Paolo Tosti, Città di Brescia Lyrical Competition, Città di Iseo Lyrical Competition. Among all the artists who over the years have participated in the opera concerts we have coordinated, we would like to remember Daniela Dessi', Katia Ricciarelli, Giorgio Zancanaro, Mario Malagnini, Ambra Vespasiani, Saimir Pirgu, Angelo Manzotti, Paola Sanguinetti, Stefania Bonfadelli.
In the opera competitions we have organized over the years, several lifetime achievement awards have been given: Marcello Abbado, Hilary Griffiths, Franco Ghitti, Emanuele Beschi, Bruno de Simone, Sonia Ganassi.
Since 2002, every year the Federation has coordinated 30 concerts and has availed itself of the collaboration of the winning artists of the competitions it organizes. Collaboration that in many cases has lasted a decade. Among the career artists who have been selected in our competitions and auditions we remember the tenor Federico Lepre, the soprano Monica Tarone, the tenor Leonardo Caimi, the baritone Andrea Zese, the tenor Paolo Lardizzone, the bass Francesco Milanese, the mezzo soprano Elena Serra, the bass Andrea Patucelli, the baritone Ivan Inverardi, bass Tiziano Bracci, soprano Olga Zhuravel, tenor Pall Gissurarson, soprano Diana Mian, bass Mirko Quarello, tenor Ji Myung Hoon, bass Andrea Mastroni, soprano Marina Rebeka, mezzo soprano Anna Maria di Micco, soprano Stefanna Kibalova, soprano Sandra Foschiatto, mezzo soprano Giuseppina Bridelli.
